Drawing Tutorials
Project Description: For this assignment, I was tasked with watching a series of instructive tutorials about design sketching. Throughout the process I took notes and emulated the techniques on my own. The skill of sketching out engineering designs is incredibly important, as it allows others to visualize your ideas. It will become necessary later in the project for my group and I to draw out a detailed sketch of our design and later form a 3D digital model.

Concepts:
- Orthographic Projection: a style of drawing that condenses a 3D image onto a 2D surface using projection lines to connect the different planes, without any vanishing points
- Isometric Projection: the method in which 3D images are represented upon 2D surfaces
- Foreshortening: an optical illusion in which images farther away appear smaller
- Cartesian Coordinate System: a drawing that employs an X,Y, and Z axis (this introduces an element of depth to the sketch)
- Distortion: flaws present in all 2D representations of 3D images
- Third Angle Projection: displays a 3D image as separate yet connected 2D views of an object
- Perspective Drawing: a style of drawing 3D images that employs horizontal lines and vanishing points
- Vanishing Point: the point where the ground plane narrows in the distance
- Occluded Lines: lines not visible to the viewer's current perspective
- Rapid Ideation Sketching: sketching in a timely manner using quick and intuitive decision making
- Compound Curve Surface: a surface that has curves in at least two opposing directions
